We have just submitted a planning application for this small housing development in Enfield.
The houses adopt a staggered terrace arrangement, with expression between units achieved through the articulation of the party wall. Brick detailing provides relief and texture to the facade re-imagining traditional vernacular details in a contemporary manner. Angular protruding window surrounds direct views away from neighbouring developments shade glazing from summer sun.
Materials have been selected to reference those found locally and will be hard-wearing but also textured, possessing a feeling of quality. Each building has access to a private walled courtyard which is south facing and will improve the existing southern boundary which is currently overgrown and unappealing.
