Hattie Hartman AJ Small Projects: Introduction (AJ Online Article)

PAD studio are delighted to announce that the Exbury Egg has been shortlisted in PART 2 of the AJ Small Projects 2014. The Exbury Egg is now up against 24 outstanding small projects from around the country. The structure is also one of only three schemes within the AJ Small Projects to be shortlisted for the Sustainability Award.

In an article about the AJ Small Projects 2014 Hattie Hartman, AJ's Sustainability Editor, said

"PAD Studio’s Exbury Egg, a floating live/work structure for artist Stephen Turner, may also be a one-off, but it makes the Sustainability Award shortlist, not only for its sheer ingenuity and delight, but because it’s a modest proposal for a dwelling which treads lightly on the planet. A locally made wood-burning stove heats the pod and all electrical items are charged by portable PV panels"
